Ancient Rotlands 
Voidzone
The scent of decay suffocates this murky land, once the home of a fallen Celestial.
Ancient Rotlands is a location in Deepwoken. It is a Voidzone area found in the Eastern Luminant.
Overview[]
The Ancient Rotlands is a location in the Songseeker Wilds. The area is a large swamp littered with Nightmare Threshers and Maljurors everywhere. The area is infamous for the pulsating, brain-like masses that are chained up across the area, however they are currently missing.
The Ancient Rotlands is a Voidzone, meaning you will be sent to The Depths if you die in the area.

Brains[]
- "Brains" consisting of pulsating masses embedded with eyes that are chained up across the Rotlands. They aren't too common, but there's enough to cover a significant portion of the area.
- Being in the radius of the brains when they pulse causes the player to take grave Insanity damage. It's recommended to come here with a handful amount of willpower.
- It is assumed that the brains "pulse", doing the same insanity damage if the player is exposed to it - as if you had looked at it for a couple of seconds.
- This area is generally considered as dangerous to farm in due to its Voidzone status, with the potential insanity damage you may receive being the equivalent of a bomb that can explode any second.
- Do note that running out of sanity while being in the radius of a pulsating brain will cause the player's head to explode, which results in an instant drown.
- For ease of farming, it is encouraged that you lure whatever's inside the area out to the Songseeker Wilds to avoid both any insanity damage and avoid getting sent to the Depths on death.

Cave[]
- Upon taking a right from the entrance and through a brain, a cave can be found that contains the Shrine of Ostentation.
Deeper Cave[]
- Upon entering a small opening atop a cliff inside the Rotlands, the player will find themselves in a large cave with numerous pillars.
- Dropping deep into the cave will lead to a partially-flooded area containing four Nightmare Threshers (does not spawn currently). Upon defeating the Threshers, a chest containing many Legendary Rings will spawn.
- To escape the cave, the player must interact with the fountain at the bottom, slowly flooding the entire area until they are up.
Celestial Crash Site[]
- At a corner of the Rotlands lies a crash site of a particular Celestial that captured the attention of a certain zealous group.
Derelict Highchurch[]
- Outside the Rotlands is the Derelict Highchurch, which can be accessed by going up the path at the back of the Voidzone or by jumping over the broken bridge at the top.
