Description[]
The Blacksmiths are stationary NPCs found in towns such as Etris, Isle of Vigils, Summer Isle, Greathive Aratel, Fort Merit, Miner's Landing, Meteor Isle, Castle Light, The Floating Keep, Voidheart, and Guild Bases. They're used to craft Outfits and Seasonal Medals, and turn in pure ores. Blacksmiths will refuse to service the player if their reputation is too low with the faction of the location they're at.
When interacting with a blacksmith, you get three options: To craft an armor (outfit), to hand in pure ores, and to craft event items using Seasonal Medals.
To craft an outfit[]
- The blue highlighted text is the schematics you have on hand, if you press Learn, the outfit will move to the recipe that it belongs to.
- An outfit recipe retains the requirements, stats, Talent description (if it has a Talent) as well as the outfit description.
- If you have multiple crafted outfits, the current one will be an orange color while the rest will be a bolded white.
- You can also spend notes to repair the durability of your outfit.
Transmogging outfits[]
More info: Transmogrification
- If you have more than one outfit crafted, pressing Transmog will allow you to transmogrify currently equipped outfit with any other outfit you've crafted, wearing the appearance of the selected outfit but keeping the stats of your currently equipped one.
To turn in pure ores[]
- Press the second option with a pure ore in hand.
- Pure Iron is not able to be turned in.
- Erisore chests are the plain wooden chests, and they usually give blindfolds.
- If you turn in a pure ore 5 times, you get the excavator Talent.
Craft event items with Knowledge[]
- You are able to craft limited-time items using Knowledge if you bought Seasonal Medals during a Deepwoken event, such as Hallowtide Medals 22, 23 and 24 from Lysander Spellhardt during Hallowtide. You can also craft the Party Hat obtained by joining during the Festival of a Billion Souls mini event in 2024.
- You can craft outfits, weapons, and even enchants and mantras that were from these events.
Trivia[]
- All of them are wearing Smith's Bandana, Smith's Goggles and Smith's Gloves.
- Curiously, it appears the blacksmiths at Etris and Isle of Vigils are brothers.
- The blacksmith in Etris has an apprentice outside the store. He will ask for you to not rat on him, if you do not rat on him, you will get a 50% discount, rounded-down, on all materials purchasable at the Etris Blacksmith, however ratting on him does nothing and the prices will stay the same.
