Description[]
Blacksteel Pirates can be found in The Etrean Sea. They spawn in groups of 5 in the Water Tower event and can be encountered on islands during Sea Events in groups of five or four depending on the island.
They wear a Darksteel Plate and a dyed black Silver Knight's Helm.

Talents[]
- Bulldozer - Enemies you flourish into a wall have a chance of breaking the wall and are guard broken on impact.
- Shield Breaker - Blunt damage now deals full posture damage to shields.
- Unwavering Resolve - Getting parried punishes your posture 50% less.
- Bear Trap - Landing a hit with your critical against an opponent makes your opponent unable to jump for a duration. Also slows your opponent.
- Fear the Dark - Enemies will briefly hang in place when they run from you.

Tips[]
- The Darksteel Greatsword Blacksteel Pirates pose the biggest threat to rookie players; only engage if you know how to parry the critical.
- They essentially act as very much high-risk reward types for lower-level players who want to earn exp and items quickly.
- They may be more difficult than bandits as if you don't know how to parry, you will get combo'ed.
- If you grip them close to the wooden tower, the other Blacksteel Pirates will be alerted, and you might get interrupted. Instead, carry the Blacksteel Pirate's body into the ocean; they will drown, and any other Blacksteel Pirates will not be alerted.
- Be extremely cautious if you are knocked out in the water, as Blacksteel Pirates will use Rapid Punches on your body even if you are knocked out in the water, which you end up drowning. Even if you have Scuba Drowner, the Blacksteel Pirates will still use Rapid Punches even if your knocked out reducing your odds of survival to a bare minimum.
Trivia[]
- Since they originate from below the ocean and they use Shadowcast, they possibly are connected with The Depths or The Ministry.
- The Tower Event drops 2 chests. First, at the top of the tower and the second can only be obtained when tower sinks as it is blocked by blocks.
- They don't actually wear a Blacksteel Helm or Blacksteel Pauldrons, despite being able to drop them and sharing their namesake, "Blacksteel".
- If no one attacks the Wooden Tower, the Blacksteel Pirates will despawn, but the top of the tower will still spawn a chest and the Wooden Tower will sink.
- The Wooden Tower can despawn while someone's actively fighting the pirates, not granting any XP and not spawning the chest at the bottom of the tower.
