Description[]

Bullet Casings can be used in combination with some ores, like Erisore or Umbrite, to make special bullets with effects that can aid you in battle, though they do have downsides. These can be found in Summer Isle, in The Furnace by talking to an NPC named Mag. You can also get a gunsmith in your Guild Base's blacksmith room for 1000 , which does the same things as him. You require 1 Note for 5 Bullets Encased, rounding up to the nearest note. (ex. You need 27 notes for 133 bullets encased, rounded up to 135) It should be important to state that the maximum number of Bullets you can encase with just a single ore is 200.

The maximum amount of cased bullets you can have in your inventory is capped at 999, and you can't have more than one type of cased bullets at a time.

Dialogue:[]

(1) Mag: Looking to buy some casing? For some Notes and a little ore I can encase your ammunition. P: Sure / [End Dialogue]

(2) Mag: Gonna need you to show me the ore you want me to use... (If you were not holding a compatible ore.) P: Sure / [End Dialogue]

(3) Mag: How many bullets do you want encased? It's 1 Note for every 5 bullets, rounded up to the nearest Note. P: Submit / Exit

Bullet Effects:[]

These bullets give a 10% PEN bonus, because they are considered normal bullets, they do not have any disadvantages.

The Bullet will slow down the target on hit (Bugged), however at a downside of dealing 20% less damage (Still applies) and the speed of the bullet being reduced (Bugged).

The Bullet will have 10% increased damage on hit, however at a downside of the firing speed of the gun being reduced by a 25%.

The Bullet will apply a 50% anti-heal on hit, however at a downside of the damage being reduced by 20%.

The Bullet will apply poison(?) on hit (Currently bugged), however at a downside of the damage being reduced by 20% (Still applies).

Trivia[]

  • Coal, rock, iron and astruline, these four minerals are not compatible with bullets and cannot be used to encase them.
  • Stormeye's and Rosen's Hellflames's shots can use encased bullets.
  • Right now the only bullets that work are iron, erisore and umbrite.
  • Gold and irithine bullets are bugged and do not apply their supposed buff, however they still reduce the bullet's damage (In the case of gold bullets, the slower bullets are bugged and do not apply).
  • Erisore's bullets seem to simply apply the same effect as the Ring of Pestilence, so it's more advisable to use the ring and avoid the damage reduction.
  • The effects of minerals on bullets actually only apply to the "explosion" of the shot and not the projectile, this ironically makes using encased bullets more convenient in rifles and 2H pistols than 1H pistols...
