Description[]
Campfires are used to cook food or melt trinkets as well as to regain Blood, Health, Armor (requires the Thresher Scales Talent), Natural Armor (requires the Vesperian aspect OR the Exoskeleton Talent) and Sanity.
Campfires can be created by crafting and placing a Campfire Pit (3 sticks OR 1 Wood) and then lighting it by using a Flint or Umbral Flint, the Produce Spark or Discovery of Fire Talents, letting a Flame Wisp light it or by shooting it using Fire Gun.
Equipping and using a Campfire Pit will then place it down at your cursor's position. They cannot be placed if you click a location that isn't in your general vicinity.
Pressing B while standing near a campfire with nothing in hand will make your character kick and destroy the campfire.

- If a player with Azure Flames lights up a campfire using Produce Spark the flame will have a blue color instead of the regular red.
- Campfires will be put out if it's currently Raining or Snowing.
- Campfires spawned by the Bandit Camp event are replaced by a chest with loot when the event ends, however, by killing two of the bandits and carrying the third you can have a chance to heal before it disappears.
- Only Flamecharmers with the Undying Flame Talent can light up campfires in The Depths.
- There used to be a glitch where campfire-spawning events in Summer Isle would not despawn the campfire, meaning there would be an endless amount of them around the island and also glitch chests inside of the campfire.
- Building: Campfires can also be used as a platform for barrel construction. Since campfires are not at all effected by gravity, they can hold barrels up where the barrels would normally fall. You may construct whatever your barrel supply allows with this.
- An alternative to using a campfire is the Graceful Flame support mantra. It is not put out in rain and has a Talent that makes it so it can be used in the depths, making it much more viable for late game players.
- With the Disguise mantra, you can turn into a campfire. This requires it to be modified with 1 Blast spark, and 1 Tornado spark.
- Whether the campfire is lit or not depends on the order of the sparks (blast then tornado is unlit campfire and tornado then blast is lit campfire)
- Campfires despawn after 10 minutes.
- Four lit campfires are required to summon The Ferryman.
- Using Glider above a Campfire will lift you up a bit.
- Campfires were visually revamped in the September 15th, 2025 update.
- Attempting to build a campfire on a boat will yield a message saying "Putting a campfire here probably isn't the best idea."
