Description
"Weapon of a former student of the 4th Prophet who quickly moved up through the ranks of the Ministry due to their own ingenuity and modifications upon Zi'eer's puppet strings. Met their demise at the hands of the Maestro, posing as a Vigil Instructor in order to gather intel. Seeing through the disguise, the Maestro challenged the applicant instructor and forced them to reveal their hand. With no more tricks left up their sleeve, they fell before the Maestro's arsenal, their own handiwork joining the collection."

Description

The Cerulean Thread is a Dagger that is obtained by upon beating Maestro Evengarde Rest with a Light Weapon for the first time. It is one of the 3 drops that is guaranteed from Maestro if you fight him with a specific weapon type, the others being the Pale Briar and the Purple Cloud.

Follow-up

The critical of the weapon is divided into two parts.

For the normal critical, the user winds up before thrusting their weapon forward, marking the first enemy hit with a string. The connection will be broken upon taking damage.

For the follow-up critical, the user performs the normal critical, extending with a strike that sends your opponent upwards with multiple slashes and ending with a ragdolling backstab.

The critical has a cooldown of 3 seconds, but increases to 5 seconds on the follow-up.

• This is the only light weapon to be sheathed behind you instead of along your waist.
• Cerulean refers to a deep blue color, referencing this weapon's shade.
• This is the only instance of a weapon where the critical's cooldown changes.
• Meeting the requirement of LHT, the damage is (22.2).
• At max LHT, the damage is (23.4).
• The second half of the Cerulean Thread critical was temporarily bugged, but this was fixed in the 06/14/2024 update.
