Description[]
The Cloaked Assassins are enemy NPCs. They wear a sleeveless version of the Assassin's Cloak and an Assassin's Hood. They can be of various races.
Cloaked Assassins are spotted in various Sea events, having either captured an island or ambushing a Merchant Ship. They can also be found in groups of 3 during faction ambushes, spawning in place of the faction NPCs or Bounty Hunters.

Their arsenal consists of either a Whaling Knife, Krulian Knife, Champion's Dagger or Tanto along with the Frostdraw, Shadowcast, Thundercall and Ironsing Attunements:

Talents[]
- Precise Swing - After landing a critical, their next light attack will deal 25% chip damage towards your block.
- Cheap Shot - Your attacks gain 10% PEN when you have an active speed boost.
- Frozen Pin-Cushion - Ice Daggers now freeze opponents.
- Frostbite - Enemies no longer heal when under the effect of your chill.
- Time To Go - Taking a life grants a speed boost for 10 seconds. Taking a player's life doubles the speed boost and the duration.
- Steady Footing - You're much more resistant to being pushed around.
- Scaredy Cat - When enemies initiate a fight first, gain a speed boost.
- Sunken Predator - Enemies you hit in the water have their speed buffs nullified and are slowed.
- Swift Rebound - Move faster after successfully dodging an attack.
- Evasive Expert - Your speed boost granted from dodging is increased.
- Risky Moves - When you successfully dodge, you'll automatically dodge the next attack.
- Ghost - Dodging a move will briefly make you invisible until you attack.
- Strong Stern - The duration you are dazed from wall bangs is cut in half
- In a Hurry - You grip faster with a movement speed boost.
- Chronostasis - Landing an M1 or Critical Strike puts target Resonance on cooldown for a short duration.

Tips[]
- S-holding and constantly rolling and blocking is heavily recommended, as they WILL spam Mantras.
- Pretty difficult to fight and seem very intimidating. However, just don't fold under pressure and parry as you normally would with any other NPC.
- Basically all faction NPCS hate these guys. If you really are having trouble, just run to the nearest faction NPC.

- Cloaked Assassins wear an Assassin's Cloak. However, their cloak is missing its sleeves. It is unknown why this is.
- When spawning as a Faction Ambush, they can lose sight of their target and stop chasing them, saying ''Rats, we lost them.''
