This page lists the controls that can be used in Deepwoken.

Main Controls[]

Key  Description Notes
M1 Light Attack Your main attack.
M1 + M2 Feint Player cancels event/animation of Weapons and other Actions. (Light Attack, Roll).
Mantra + M1 + M2 Mantra Feint Player cancels event/animation of Mantras when using them. Costs Ether but resets the cooldown.
M1 during mantra Perfect Cast Player perfect casts the Mantra by pressing M1 right before the Mantra animation. Benefits certain Talents such as Eureka.
M3 or R Critical Attack Player does a special attack, sometimes exclusive to that weapon, typically to break block or mix up combos and attacks.
E Interact Player interacts with NPCs, environment, etc.
F Parry Player parries attacks if used right before impact.
F (hold) Block Player blocks incoming attacks. Increases posture.
G Vent Player vents, reducing their Tempo and knocking enemies back.
Y Switch Stance Players swap weapon stance if possible.
T Taunt Player spits. Spitting on an entity will heal ~5% health, and if they are an NPC, make them aggro onto you.
V Carry KO'd Enemy Player will pick up a downed entity nearby.
B Execute KO'd Enemy Player will kill a downed entity nearby.
B+B Cancel Execution Player will stop their attempt to execute the downed entity, letting them drop onto the ground nearby.
W+W Sprint Player moves faster.
Q Roll Player rolls. Allows attack dodging.
Ctrl Crouch Player enables Stealth.
Ctrl (sprinting) Slide Player slides on the ground. Slide down slopes for a large burst of speed.
Space (sliding) Slide jump Jump during the slide for a slight speed boost
Tab Journal/Backpack Opens inventory and Attributes window.
K (hold) Gesture Opens a menu to select gestures. Locks player to boat.
P [OLD] Toggle Cosmetic THIS IS NOW ACCESSIBLE IN THE BACKPACK MENU.

[OLD] Player removes Head type equipment visually but keep the effects. Also allows Ganymede to remove their hat.

C Resonance Activates Resonance if obtained.
H Murmur: Ardour Activates Murmur: Ardour if obtained.
H (hold) Ardour Scream Activates Ardour Scream if obtained.
T (crouching) Murmur: Tacet Activates Murmur: Tacet if obtained.
G (crouching) Murmur: Rhythm Activates Murmur: Rhythm if obtained.
E Throw Player chucks throwable objects from their hand.
N (crouching) Pickpocket Requires Pickpocket. Steals Notes from entity knocked players.
R (crouching) Fake Dead Requires Cap Artist. Ragdolls player until input pressed again or attacked.
B (near Campfire) Extinguish Player destroys a campfire by kicking it.
Space (near small obstacle) Vault Parkour. Player quickly slides over obstacle, grants speed boost.
W+Space (airborne near a wall) Wall Jump Parkour. Player performs two small hops on a wall, automatically hops up and over ledges if holding W.
Space (airborne near a wall) Wall Kick Parkour. Player performs a kick up and away from wall.
M1, M1, M1, M1, M1 Flourish Player finishes combo by kicking opponent away.
M1 (crouching behind a humanoid) Assassinate Player performs stealth attack that deals damage and ragdolls.
Z, X, C, V Ritual Cast Required inputs for Mantras with Ritual Casting.
G Vent Player performs a special attack that blasts any enemies backwards with a knockback effect, comes from built up Tempo.
Ctrl+M1 Uppercut Player crouches down and performs an uppercut, sending them and a hit entity in the air. Grants immunity frames against aerial attacks.
M1 (airborne) Aerial Attack Player moves forward in the air while attacking downwards with their weapon.
