Description

An artifact of dark renown, convincing them they are already dead, instilling a strange reckless calm. Crafted from darksteel, its history is steeped in blood; its last owner met a grim fate during a forbidden Ministry Ritual to grow a murky, grotesque abomination. Grayrhule failed his experiments and succumbed to his own shadows. Dare to don this helm at your own peril.

Description[]

The Deepscorn Casque is a Unique Equipment Item found under the "Head" category. If you entered The Understrand through Silhuett's event, this item along with the Deepspindle and Darkened Bastion will be guaranteed on the first clear.

Grants the user the "Already Dead" Unique Equipment Talent, which reduces the self damage taken from certain abilities. These include: Static Withdraw's Jumpstart buff, Flame Within's self damage on activation, Symbiotic Sustain's wither, Shadow Travel, Shade Devour, and Rush Hour. Additionally this entirely removes the self damage taken by the Deepspindle running critical.

This Talent also reduces the self damage/Wither application from the Poison (HP drain) and Wither Corrupted Resonance downsides.

Its previous description stated, "Because ten billion years' time is so fragile, so ephemeral... It arouses such a bittersweet, almost heartbreaking fondness."^[1]
- This turned out to simply be gibberish placeholder text in a similar vein to "lorem ipsum".
Due to the description it can be assumed that Darksteel is a powerful recurring substance in Deepwoken with other items having it's mention being the Darksteel Greatsword and the Darksteel Plate.
The Emblem on the top of the helmet is the banner for The Celtorian (now known as Lost Celtor ever sinced the city drowned.)
