Elder Primadon, The Titan Warlord
“ ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARGH ”

Description[]

Elder Primadon, the Titan Warlord is a stronger version of Primadon, with a larger body, darker skin tone, and glowing eyes.

Similar to Primadon, the Elder can be summoned by making an offering, however this variant of the beast only takes Sinner's Ash as an adequate offering.

Combo

Stomp Feint
(★★★)
Elder Primadon raises his right foot, but will instead delay it and then proceed to feint. Afterwards he will punch and then he will kick.
  • Unlike the triple stomp feint, Elder Primadon will follow up with a kick if he feints a regular stomp.
  • You can block the kick, but this requires relatively high posture. Alternatively, you can roll cancel his punch so a second roll will be available for the kick.
  • Elder Primadon will have a much longer pause after the kick compared to his other moves even if enraged, allowing for potentially more damage.

Triple Stomp Feint
(★★★)
Elder Primadon will raise his left foot, eventually stomping once, then feinting the second. Afterwards he will punch.

Combat[]

Elder Primadon has 99% cannon resistance, according to a tester. So cannon cheesing him is out of the question.

Unlike Primadon, Titan of the East, Elder primadon can feint his attacks.

Strategy[]

This guide focuses solely on the mechanics and strategies for defeating the Elder Primadon boss. It does not include information on player-versus-player (PvP) encounters.

The Elder Primadon is a far more challenging opponent than its counterpart, Primadon, Titan of the East, due to the limited windows for attack. This is particularly true during its enraged state. It is recommended to limit your attacks to one or two strikes after the boss's actions, depending on your weapon's swing speed. This cautious approach is crucial for avoiding its highly lethal counterattacks.

A key principle is to maintain a calm and patient mindset. Avoid being overly aggressive with your attacks. When in doubt, it is safer not to attack at all. Elder Primadon's moves are both fast to initiate and quick to execute. Using a faster-swinging weapon (medium or light) may be more forgiving, as it allows for more frequent attack opportunities compared to slower, heavy weapons.

Elder Primadon has an extensive moveset that can be learned with practice. In addition to the standard attacks from its easier counterpart, its new moves include: Heavy Stomp, Stomp Blitz, and Ground Slam. The boss is also capable of feinting its regular and triple stomps. It may delay a regular stomp or feint the second stomp of a triple stomp combo. After a feint, the boss will often follow up with a punch and a kick. If you lack the posture to block the kick or fail to properly roll-cancel the punch, the kick will likely connect.

Elder Primadon can also initiate a combo that always consists of a stomp, a kick, and a triple stomp. Because there is no clear indicator that the boss will continue a combo after a regular stomp, it's advised to avoid a double or even single attack after this move.

Trivia[]

  • Elder Primadon is the only feature to not appear in private servers. This is because it prevents outside parties ganking for the loot.
