Quests[]
Etrean Apprentice Quest[]
- Located at the backside of the blacksmith, talk to the Etrean named Pori.
- Pori begs you not to rat him out to the blacksmith Caragan, as he will be revoked of his apprenticeship.
- Keeping his promise and not ratting him out rewards you a 50% discount on all materials in the blacksmith.
- Ratting him out does nothing, but at least your ego increased! (Even if you ratted him out, you could repeat the dialogue and get a discount after.)
Slim Jim Quest[]
- Talk to Jim, a red-haired Canor located in a house within the Etris Docks.
- He mutters about lacking the necessary ingredients; agreeing to help him requires 2 Dying Embers.
- The reward for completing this quest is a random high tier mantra modifier.
Lumberjack Quest[]
- Talk to the Etrean that is idling outside a house by the exit to the Etrean Wilds.
- He will ask you to chop wood for him so that they have a sustainable supply of lumber for the winter.
- Accepting his quest gives you a lumber axe for free.
- 6 wood for 5 .
- This quest is repeatable.
Treefelling Blow Talent Quest[]
[This Quest requires the 'Strong Left' Strength Mantra.]
- “ ...But that's okay. Their muscles just aren't big enough to comprehend it. You now wield the sum knowledge of ALL lumberjacks, after all. ”
- Talk to the same Etrean NPC that gives you the Lumberjack Quest, and tell her that you can't get wood through punching.
- Bewildered, the Etrean offers the Player to Strong Left 5 trees for research.
- After 5 trees has been Strong Left'd, return to the Lumberjack and gain the Talent.
Travelling Blade[]
- Talk to Nanji in Etris, located near the big slope ramp close to the Alchemy House.
- She'll talk to you about a missing individual, whom she was supposed to meet in Etris. Agreeing to help find this person accepts the quest.
- See Nanji for info.
The Lord Regent's Quest[]
Warning: This quest is exceptionally difficult. Recommended for high-level and properly equipped players.
- To begin this quest, you must have a positive reputation in Etrea. This can be achieved by helping the Etrean Guards in the Etrea vs Authority event or the Etrean Guards vs Pirates event. If you have a lot of notes, you can simply buy wood and hand it to the lumberjack. Similarly, you can chop trees and sell their wood to the lumberjack.
- Once you've become popular with the residence of Etrea (Etrean guards call you friend of Etrea/your name when you interact with them), talk to Kennith. Kennith is an Etrean Guard and is located next to a bridge near the Palace.
- Kennith will ask you to talk to the locals of Etris about the Lord Regent's reputation as a ruler.
- Talk to Bookkeeper Andros in the library.
- After talking to Andros, head to the Nomad Camp area and climb up the cliff above it. You will see marks on the ground that leads to the desecrated body of Kennith. A Royal Guard will send you to the Lord Regent as an audience. (Additionally, you are able to skip this stage by talking to any Royal Guard as opposed to the one at the death scene of Kennith you must sneak up on them or they will aggro you)
- Make sure you talk to the Royal Guards to tell them that the the Lord Regent is expecting you, making them docile unless provoked.
- Heading upstairs, talk to the Lord Regent (DO NOT GET TOO CLOSE TO HIS THRONE, SLOWLY WALK TO SEE THE TALK PROMPT APPEAR). He will hire you into doing his bidding of obtaining an artifact (known as the Forge) in Duke Erisia's Manor in Erisia. Upon accepting his offer, he hands you the key to the locked iron gate in the Manor.
- Traverse through Erisia. Go through the Towerstruck Lands and into the Garden Reservoir; there, a portal will be seen, which leads to the Manor.
- To use the key to unlock the black iron gate, the key must be glowing white.
- Descend to the elevators, and fight against a handful of enemies and humanoid constructs.
- Fight Duke Erisia; a Celtor scientist who went insane from his corrupted knowledge.
- Failure to fight the boss (via escaping the boss room through the elevators again or dying) and reporting to the Lord Regent that you failed to drive the Duke out of the Manor causes the Lord Regent to execute you where you stand.
- After you defeat the Duke, if you visit the Lord Regent once again, he thanks you for your help and disposes of you, as you're no longer needed.
- If this happens to you and you go back to try and get your loot, even if the guards are passive and you tell them you have an audience with the Lord Regent, the Lord will execute you again if you try to enter his room.
- The reward of defeating the Duke unbounds attunement and weapons. Note that you only need to defeat the Duke, for dying by the hands of Lord Regent does not grant any special reward.
Diver Apprentice Quest[]
To begin this quest, talk to Karliah, an Adret Diver. She is located in a house near the signs, next to the General store.
- Accepting to escort her activates the quest. Meet her at the Erisian Mines, located in Erisia. (She is located near the zip line placement near the ruins, on top of the cave deposit in Pathfinder's Respite.
- Save her from the Mudskipper that is attacking her.
- Interact with her.
- This quest is very easy to screw up, and if you do so there is no way to uncap Charisma, so be careful.
- Failing will result in her dying to horseshoe crabs.
Ending 1: Promise Broken[]
"Don't be scared. I promise I'll protect you no matter what."
- By choosing to continue the escort, Karliah will enter the cave and almost immediately get attacked by horseshoe crabs.
- There is no reward for this ending. (The four horseshoe crabs on the ground can be seen beforehand but cannot be attacked or killed, neither before or during the attack. This route is meant only as some twisted ending.)
Ending 2: Eyes Wide Open[]
"You've been through a lot—maybe you should go home and study on your own for awhile and come back later."
- Picking the 2nd option, Karliah returns back home and studies. If the Player checks up on Karliah's Home in Etris, she is covered in blood and mentally deranged, along with petting the head of an Old Etrean (Joshua) she once helped.
- She greets you with a friendly tone and talks about her studies. Her eyes to the truth of the world were revealed due to the studies you ask her to.
- There is no way to save her, as the only option is to put her down, snapping her neck from behind.
- The reward from this ending is a fistful of EXP, and a shiver down your spine.
Ending 3: Snap Back to Reality[]
"I don't think you're cut out for this. Mudskippers are small fry, and you'll face much worse as a Diver. You need to rethink your life goals."
- Picking the 3rd option, Karliah accepts your harsh honesty, and retires from being a Depths Diver. She goes back home in Etris.
- Checking up on Karliah back in her house, she is now in a different set of clothing. Talking to her thanks you for seeing the realities of life and reflect about the people of Etris being friendly with her.
- The reward from this ending increases your Charisma cap to 100, a fistful of EXP, and a moment of harmony and relief.
- Requires 50 Charisma [Confirmed by SkipperFalconeer, if you don't have enough and try to get the 3rd ending anyway, you won't be able to try again. Keep this in mind before trying out to this.]
- If you don't have 75 Charisma, you won't uncap it. However, you can do the quest with 50 Charisma and come back to her in Etris after the quest. Talk to her again and get the uncap card.
Etris War Event[]
This event is an extremely rare event that can happen in Etris. You can tell it's going on if there's a stormcloud over etris and buildings are on fire. Previously this event could only happen within the first few minutes of a server due to how events worked at the time, but since then it's been changed so the event can happen at any time in a server's lifespan.
NPCs at the Etris Docks will comment on the Authority seeming to have been quiet today, signaling the start of the event.
At the beginning of the Etris War Event, the Authority will begin to invade Etris, starting at the docks and making their way up to the city's center. Lesser Etrean Foot-soldiers and Royal Guards will spawn in to aid Etris. Polis will also fight as a unique enemy.
After all Authority Guards are defeated, 3 large chests holding high-tier Depths loot will spawn at the tree in the center of Etris.
Flamecharmer Ploom Quest[]
- Talk to Ploom, located in Lance's Food.
- Further through the dialogue, you can choose 3 ways of doing this quest.
- 1. Do the quest normally and accept his offer. Fetch him 3 Dying Embers.
- 2. Perform a Charisma Check, which requires Charisma 50.
- 3. Perform a Flamecharm Check, which requires Flamecharm 40.
- Reward of doing Ploom's bidding is the Pleeksty's Will Talent, which increases Ether gain from consuming mantra ingredients.
- The Pleeksty's Will Talent used to give increased Reservoir gain along with Ether but has since been removed, along with the removal of Reservoir.
Frostdrawer Nell Quest[]
- Talk to Nell, located in the Alchemy House.
- Accepting Nell's quest requires you to bring 2 Frigid Prisms to her. (Frigid Prisms can be found by defeating enemies that use Frostdraw.)
- After giving her the required items, she will then use them and give you Glassblood.
- Drinking Glassblood will damage you by a portion (Somewhere in the 10%) and ragdoll you. In return, you are able to cast Frostdraw and learn Frostdraw Talents.
[]
- Find and rescue a Navaen tribe member either in Erisia, in one of the many encounters there, or in Fort Merit in one of the prison cells as a random spawn.
- Knocking a Navaen Nomad in the Summer Isles—or any other location—and turning them in will not work for this quest.
- Upon finding a Navaen tribe member, head back to the camp master in Etris and receive your reward.
- The reward for this quest is the "Way of Navae" fist style and Talent. In addition, it unlocks a new dialogue option from Polis. It also will prompt "Way of Navae" to be a starting style in the start menu.
- If you know that you want fist style from the beginning, you can easily get it by going to Fort Merit as a freshie and snatching a Nomad due to the guards not attacking you. This is typically much faster in practice, though does become more difficult if a Lionfish spawns, as the spawn chances for the Nomads seem to be higher than they are in Erisia as a random encounter.
