Gliders are utility items in Deepwoken that give the player the ability to glide.
Description[]
Gliders are a utility that can be crafted with a schematic given in Pathfinder's Respite. It gives the player the ability to glide, allowing easy travel through terrain. There is also a special Feathered Glider, which is given to Tirans as an innate Talent.
Obtaining[]
Anyone is able to craft a glider at any point. Simply head to a Crafting Station, use the glider recipe (x2 Stick, x2 Cloth) and craft it. You no longer need a schematic to craft it.
Both Gliders and Sharkscale Gliders can also be sold in Merchant Ships.
Crafting[]
The Glider can only be crafted at a Crafting Station or using the Master Craftsman Talent, and must be crafted with two Sticks and two Cloth.
The Sharkscale Glider can also only be built at a Crafting Station or with the Master Craftsman Talent, and must be crafted with two Sticks and two Megalodaunt Hides.
The Flimsy Glider can't be crafted, it is only usable in the Battle Royale gamemode.
Usage[]
The Glider can only be used in the air and cannot be used in Acid Rain (if you do not have the Survivalist Boon). It cannot be used in combat.
There is no difference between the Sharkscale Glider and the normal Glider except for its amount of uses. The Glider has 15 uses while the Sharkscale Glider has 150 uses, and the Flimsy has only 10, dropping down to 1 when the user touches the ground.
An addition to gliders, Galebreathe users can eventually obtain "Aerogliding" Talent, which greatly decreases the rate you descend and greatly increases the distance you can travel with a glider, which is very useful to have, also obtain the ability to glide with galebreathe by holding space after falling, which is a substitute for a glider, but it goes down much faster and has little to no horizontal distance, but it can be used in danger and is great for escaping a fight by gliding away.
BE CAREFUL. Taking damage with a glider will Ragdoll your character. Flying in places that have acid rain like Upper Erisia may be immensely dangerous. If you are suffering from ping issues, your glider may delay heavily when you are trying to deploy it which will likely cause fall damage from deploying the glider and subsequently plummeting.

- The Feathered Glider comes in 4 different colors, each matching the aspect variant of the Tiran using it. (Crow variant pictured.)
- The glider used to require a schematic to craft, however this is no longer the case. It is unlocked by default.
