Overview[]

Hybrid Abilities are a special category of Mantras and Talents that require investment in multiple Attunements to use. Hybrid Mantras typically use elemental effects and Talents from both attunements and can even inherit path abilities such as Surge Path or Wraith Path. These mantras can be upgraded at either one of their respective attunement trainers. Hybrid Mantras scale off of both of their attunement stats, but only require one to be invested to level up. For example, you can have level 5 Permafrost Prison with 80 Shadowcast OR 80 Frostdraw.

  • Can be modified with Eternal and Aeon Logstones to increase its duration slightly.
  • Can be upgraded with a Multiplying Spark to summon 3, but dividing the damage dealt per Tether into thirds.
  • Can be upgraded with a Magnet Spark allowing it to move.

  • Deals moderate damage.
  • Inflicts Chill.
  • Works with Twisted Puppets, applying Shadow Burn (it won't spawn puppets) and Crystal Path.
  • Compatible with Cloudstones/Stratus Stones to make the AoE larger.
  • Can be modified with Aeon/Eternal Logstones but it seems to only work with Aeon Logstone otherwise if even a single Eternal Logstone is placed onto the mantra it will use more ether and make it last the original amount.
  • Can be modified with Magnet Spark allowing it to follow the user.
  • Cannot be cast while in water. Attempting to cast it in water will consume your ether and do nothing.

  • An entire beam deals about 250 total damage (needs more calculations). Unparryable, blockable. Can be dodged by going far enough from caster.
  • 5 minute cooldown.
  • Has a 2 seconds long wind-up, cancels if the caster gets hitstun. Can only walk during active beam.
    • Can be canceled manually by caster.
    • Getting hit by a Vent will also cancel it.
  • Can turn while shooting beam.
  • Soul Beam is listed as an "initiate level Physical Mantra" in Mystic dialogue.


Oaths[]

Very few Oaths require the combination of several Attunements to be used. These Oaths are often powerful within their niche, but are uncommonly used due to having fairly restrictive requirements.

Arcwarder - A Flamecharm/Thundercall Hybrid Oath that harnesses these Attunements' defensive and offensive capabilities. Requirements: 20 Flamecharm, 20 Thundercall, 20 Fortitude.

Saintsworn - A Hybrid Oath that is comprised of the 5 base Attunements, specializing in elemental combination through various methods. Requirements: 15 Flamecharm, 15 Frostdraw, 15 Galebreathe, 15 Shadowcast, 15 Thundercall.

Gain a tool that allows you to sacrifice puppets who burn purple, granting you 1 Emperor Flame Stack per puppet sacrificed, +4% damage boost per puppet sacrificed for 6 seconds (caps at +12% damage), and a speed boost for 6 seconds. Puppets turn purple if they've been alive for 15 seconds.

If your Human Battery targets have Ether, it will drain their Ether to help pay for your Mantras. 10s cooldown. When casting a Mantra, drain some of your Human Battery target's Ether to help pay for the Mantra. Unlike Human Battery, you do not need to be out of Ether for Battery Sapper to proc.
However, this talent is bugged and currently does nothing.

These Talents require the combination of all attunements to be obtained. Very few in number, these hybrid Talents are very niche and specialized, but powerful to make up for their high requirements.

Oath: Oathless, Chorus of Souls When empowered by the Chorus, your Wisps now grant their elements to your strikes. While all Attunement Wisp Mantras are active, your basic attacks will apply Burn, Chill, Shock, Shadow, and Winded. This has no cooldown, but will stop working if any Wisp is not present.

Equipment[]

Rarely, equipment will require the usage of two or more attunements to be used. Currently, there is only one equipment set that requires this.

Specialist Set[]

The Specialist Set is a Thundercall Galebreathe hybrid equipment set, increasing the user's mobility and damage output through Stormcall Strikes. Upon equipping all items within this set, you will gain the Set Talent, Shock Trooper Specialist.


Specialist Helmet[]

A black and gold plated helmet with the Volt Draft Talent. Volt Draft strengthens your Inhale, allowing you to proc Storm Strikes with your basic attacks. Storm Strikes from this Talent scale their damage off your Galebreathe and Thundercall investment. This has a 20 second cooldown.

Specialist Plate[]

A black and gold plated chest plate with the Stormcall Talent. Stormcall applies the Stormcall Shock status effect whenever a Storm Strike procs from one of your other Specialist Talents. Stormcall Shock deals damage to and applies Shock and Winded to anyone who attempts to cast a Mantra while affected by it.

Specialist Boots[]

A pair of black plated boots with gold highlights with the Flashwind Talent. Flashwind allows you to re-empower your dashes after using a gale or thunder dash.

Set Bonus: [Shock Trooper Specialist][]

When wearing all equipment in the set, you gain the Shock Trooper Specialist Talent. Upon meeting a 100 accumulative damage threshold with Galebreathe and Thundercall Mantras, strike your opponents with a Stormcall Strike, dealing 40 damage with no scaling. This has no cooldown. Grand Javelin, Electro Carve, and Thunder Kick turn green, gaining a 15% increase to their base damage. Astral Wind, Gale Lunge, and Champion's Whirlthrow turn yellow, gaining a 15% increase to their base damage.

  • Tempest Blitz was the first Hybrid Mantra introduced into the game on 12/19/2023.
  • The Specialist Set were the first equipment items to require hybrid attunements to be used.
  • Upon its release, Permafrost Prison was incredibly powerful and had to be quickly nerfed, causing it to be one of the quickest and harshest nerfs towards any Mantra in Deepwoken history.
  • Thundercall has the most Hybrid Mantras, with 3 out of the 4 scaling off of it
  • The Ironsing Talent, Alloyblood changes the color of your Bloodrend Mantras to a blue-ish grey.
