Description[]
Journeyman Diver Guards are NPCs that act as the guards of Castle Light as well as ambushing "Hunted" reputation players.
They are able to use all four standard Attunements, along with Shadowcast at a time, the only NPCs in the game capable of doing so.
A Journeyman Diver Guard's appearance only consists of a Diver Journeyman Robes outfit with their aspect varying.

A Journeymen Diver's arsenal consists of either a Acheron's Warspear, Markor's Inheritor, Crescent Cleaver or Tanto along with either the Thundercall, Galebreathe, Frostdraw, Shadowcast and Flamecharm attunement:

Boons[]
- Impervious - Immune to PvE scaling.
Talents[]
- Battle Tendency - You can breathe more easily with +20% faster posture regen.
- Brick Wall - You refuse. You cannot be knocked off your feet until you are knocked completely unconscious.
- Braced Collapse - After being block broken, the next attack to hit you deals reduced damage.
- Showstopper - When an enemy would roll through one of your physical attacks, stomp the ground, dazing anyone nearby. Removes speed buffs from target upon landing.
- Strong Stern - The duration you are dazed from wall bangs is cut in half
- Frozen Pin-Cushion - Ice Daggers now freeze opponents.
- Perseverance - When you're knocked down, you get back up again more quickly.
- Giant Slayer - Deal more damage to larger foes. (10% more damage to Monsters)
- Underdog - You deal slightly more damage to those with higher HP than you.
- Defiance - Negative status effects are half as effective when you are below 35% HP.
- Moving Fortress - Blocking no longer slows you down as much.
- Charged Return - Being under an elemental status effect causes your M1's and critical attacks to do 20% more damage.
- Champion's Regalia - Flourishing an opponent grants you 1.5x posture damage for 10 seconds.
- Nullifying Clarity - Deal 15% more damage to enemies with status effects on them with your basic attacks, but the effect is removed on impact.
- Scorched Peak - Blockbreaking an enemy on fire or with a fire mantra causes them to be struck by lightning.
- Frozen Web - Landing a critical with a Static Link on your opponent applies Chilled.
- Static Link - Flourishing or uppercutting an enemy creates a static link between you and your enemy. Your lightning stuns enemies for 1.5x as long.
- Storm Link - While you have a Static Link on someone, your Wind mantras that hit them are imbued with flashes of Lightning.

Tips[]
- Don't try to fight them in any circumstances. They will jump you, and they have little to no cooldown on mantras.
- Look at their enchant before attempting to engage in a fight with them, as if you lack necessary Talents such as Carnivore or a form of Campfire in the depths, enchants such as Gluttony and Bloodthirsty may lead to an untimely end.
Trivia[]
- They were originally Black Divers, but were changed to Journeyman Divers due to their presence contradicting the established low number and high power level of actual Black Divers.
- Ironically, despite not being related to the Ministry, they can use Shadowcast.
