Description[]
The Krulian Knife is a boss weapon dagger either obtained by defeating the Ferryman in any of his chests, or buying it from a Merchant Ships or Traan Zakshun.
Talent: Cruel Counter[]
Equipping the Krulian Knife grants its unique weapon Talent(s). Weapon Talents will be lost upon equipping any other weapon, including ability-bound weapons, like from the Crazy Slots Resonance.
Cruel Counter procs when you cancel your opponent's attack with your Krulian Charge critical attack, applying the Cruel Counter status effect to your opponent. This effect increases your critical attack damage against them for 20 seconds.
Critical attacks gain a +40% damage modifier to anyone who is under the Cruel Counter status effect. This includes non-Krulian Knife critical attacks, even if they come from people who did not apply the status effect. This damage modifier bypasses the damage modifier cap.
Critical[]
The user raises the knife into the sky, causing pink lightning to strike the weapon and dealing 15 Thundercall damage with 5 Thundercall scaling in a small AoE. This grants the Krulian Charge status effect, causing their weapon to be electrified with pink lightning for 10 seconds.
While under the Krulian Charge effect, using basic attacks applies a purple Shock effect, and you gain a speed boost for the full duration of this effect. Additionally, this replaces your critical with a Thundercall rush-down attack, similar to Lightning Assault. This attack has 30 base damage with 5 Thundercall scaling, increasing by 0.15 per point in Thundercall.
Using your critical attack while Krulian Charge is on cooldown will use the default Dagger critical. Unlike the normal default dagger critical, This critical has the M1 tag, allowing it to proc M1-exclusive Talents and Enchantment effects.
Krulian Charge has a 17 second cooldown (7 second downtime). The Lightning Assault critical has a 5 second cooldown. The default dagger critical has a 3 second cooldown. None of these can be reduced through any method (explanations can be found below).
Trivia[]
- Cruel Counter is a reference to an infamous suggestion for a hypothetical "Ferryman Oath", which was endlessly mocked by the community. One of the Oath Mantras was named Kruel Kounter.
- The Krulian Charge cooldown is not considered a normal critical cooldown; its duration cannot be decreased via Critical Engine Blessed Gem or Warmaster's Medallion.
- There is a minor cooldown that stacks onto of all of the normal crit cooldowns. This cooldown takes priority over all others, meaning Critical Engine Blessed Gem and Warmaster's Medallion are completely useless to the Krulian Knife as a whole.
- This blade's appearance is a reference to one of many Ben's Knives, from the Anime "Hunter x Hunter".
