Kyrsan Medallions are an end-game currency that can be obtained in New Kyrsa inside Second Layer. They can be exchanged at Klaris Llfiend for Enchant Stones, armor enchantment or Knowledge. They are also required for obtaining and progressing the Dawnwalker Oath.
Obtainment[]
Currently, New Kyrsa is the only location where Medallions can be found. There are two primary ways of obtainment:
- They can be found in pink chests around the city, containing 7-16 Kyrsan Medallions.
- These chests spawn only at static locations around the location and their location and content resets after player spawning in Kyrsan Shrine of Arrival or defeating the Scion of Ethiron.
- They can be obtained via summon event inside the trap buildings. Activating the event via a button will result in 2 waves of Kyrsgarde spawning. After defeating the enemies, multiple Kyrsan Medallions will spawn at the central point of the building.
Using the light hook or dying while in Second Layer, will result in collected Medallions being lost. The only way to keep the currency is escaping via Klaris light hook after defeating the Scion of Ethiron. Once obtained, these medallions cannot be dropped or lost upon death.
The limit of on-hand Medallions a player can have is 250. The currency is bound to a slot and is lost upon wiping.
Usage[]
Kyrsan Medallions can be exchanged for lots of services, crucial for the end-game as well as the Dawnwalker Oath. In order to use your Medallions, talk to Klaris Llfiend, Mother of the Lights in Castle Light. She is the same NPC that teleports you to Layer 2. If you have any Medallions, she will have an additional dialogue option that states: "What do you have to offer?" - clicking on this option opens the Kyrsan Medallions shop:
- Knowledge [1 Medallion] - Gives you five knowledge points.
- Enchant Stone [5 Medallions] - Gives you an enchant stone engraved with a random enchant that can be used to enchant your current weapon.
- Enchant Grease [5 Medallions] - Gives you an enchant grease engraved with a random enchant that can be used to enchant any of your currently equipped Equipment.
- Equipment Dye [1 Medallion] - Gives you an item that allows you to dye one of your armor pieces, your Bell, your Oath colors or your Hairs. To remove dye talk to barber
- Can you teach me the secret of Radiant magic? [30 Medallions] - Grants you the Oath: Dawnwalker. Requires additional Medallions in order to unlock Talents and mantras.
- [if you have the Dawnwalker Oath] Can you enhance my Radiant mastery? [15 Medallions] - Gives Dawnwalker users an additional skill. There are three skills in total and the base Oath costs 30 medallions to obtain, meaning it costs 75 medallions to max out the Oath.
Medallions can also be spent at Misérables for a unique deal:
- I seek power in my upcoming battles. [5 Medallions] - Grant the player a ~33% damage buff (estimated) against Scion of Ethiron (Highly recommended for low damage output players).
Trivia[]
- There is proof of obtaining them from Fishing in the past; whether or not this has been shadow patched is unclear.
- Dye Packets cannot be dropped, but this can easily be bypassed by dyeing a piece of armor and then dropping that armor piece to whoever needs it.
- The medallions used to be kept as a physical item after leaving the Second Layer. This was changed in order to fight exploiters abusing the system.
- You can't exchange medallions with Klaris when below Power 15
