Description[]

The Lodestar is a humanoid enemy NPC, that can be found at Summer Isle and Starswept Valley when taking the Lodestar Bounty Job. Their Aspect is that of a Male Redwood Gremor. They drop their weapon, the Guiding Star and outfit, Navaen War Chief upon death.

Their outfit consists of a Black Blindfold, and a Navaen War Chief Outfit.

Their chest's lootpool is similar to a Scyphozia chest, seemingly having heightened Relic and Deep Gem rates. See loot table for more info.

Trivia[]

  • A "Lodestar" is an archaic word for stars used to help travellers find their way. In other words: a guiding star.
  • They have at least four dialogues on spawn, with those being "Loathsome fate...", "So our paths finally cross." ,"Bear your Fangs, wolf." and "Let the trials begin."
  • They have at least two dialogues on grip, with those being "So it ends in failure..." and "Do I take the blindfold off now?"
  • The Lodestar might be mistaking us for the target shown in their spawn and grip dialogue, as the description on the Guiding Star talks of a 'trial' that the Lodestar could be going through during 'The Festival of Lights', a part of the trial is to blindly hunt a wolf unseen, with the participant failing should they suffer any wounds, with the Guiding Star 'speaking' to the participant, guiding them to completion.
    • the Lodestar might be indirectly violating the trial by being a Blindseer, which would allow them to use their sight during the trial.
  • Ironically, Navaen Nomads are hostile towards The Lodestar and Vice-Versa, (Tested by teleporting Lodestar to Meteor Isle using Teleportation Resonance). They also ally with monsters such as Threshers which means they could count as a monster enemy rather than humanoid.
