Description[]
The Moppet is a Light Weapon in the dagger category, appearing as an old doll with a crudely-stitched frown alongside a large sewing needle on the offhand.
The Moppet's basic attacks will deal no damage, rather storing the damage dealt towards the target hit. The Moppet will also gain increased PEN per stored M1 with no cap, eventually reaching 100%. On hit, the Moppet will take the appearance of the opponent, copying their hair and Aspect features, such as a Gremor's horns or a Vesperian's mask.
Critical[]
The user impales the doll with the needle. If the Moppet has stored damage on an opponent through landing m1s, the opponent will be impaled as well, taking all of the stored damage at once.
The damage this critical deals cannot be directly increased; you must increase the damage of your M1s to increase the damage output of the critical. "On-critical" Talents proc on Moppet's critical, but as you cannot directly increase the critical's damage, your options will be limited.
This critical cannot be parried, blocked, or dodged. As per the game restrictions, you cannot deal more than 70% of a player's maximum health in one hit, this include the critical.
The critical has a cooldown of 3 seconds.
This is similar to the Poser's Ring in function. This critical has the M1 tag, allowing it to proc M1-exclusive Talents and Enchantment effects.

Trivia[]
- This weapon is based on the concept of voodoo dolls, effigies, that ironically have no link to neither Voodoo nor Vodou, which are frequently depicted in media as dolls made to resemble individuals by those seeking to do them harm. These are then used as a medium to harm the individual by inflicting damage onto the doll.
- Their name may derive from poppets, a more obscure make of doll that is frequently depicted being used for the same purposes as voodoo dolls in media, and is speculated to be the reason for the existence of the false concept of voodoo dolls.
- Despite having a sewing needle as an offhand, the player can still equip offhand weapons.
- Moppet and Poser's Ring share stacks. If you land M1s with Moppet then swap to Katana (or Shattered Katana) and sheathe, it will deal the stored Moppet damage and vice versa.
- For usage with Critical Engine:
- Blue Gem has no cap for the Ether it can restore, potentially restoring all of your Ether on crit.
- Bloodless Gem has a cap of 15 health restored, making this a not-so-great pick.
- Wayward Gem has a range limit, though it is very good for this weapon in most scenarios.
- All other Deep Gems work, but they aren't very notable.
- Visionshaper Clones cannot use Moppet's critical. Additionally, they will deal damage on M1 instead of storing it.
- Despite having the M1 tag on its critical, Moppet's critical cannot proc Spine Cutter.
- When this weapon initially released, it could proc Spine Cutter on its critical however, allowing it to effectively bypass its damage cap by dealing a separate instance of damage.
