Overview[]
Mystics are Chrysid NPCs that appears in multiple locations around the map. For 20
, they will give you many prompts to choose from, these prompts are Talent category names/Attribute Mantras. Upon picking a prompt, the next time you obtain a Talent/Mantra hand, you will be guaranteed to get Mantras or cards from the correlating family of Talents. This interaction could be repeated infinite number of times with sufficient number of notes. Before powering up, the last prompt you choose will overwrite whatever other prompts you chose.
Note: Talents/Mantras are generated as the cards are flipped, meaning Mystics can be used during a Power up and inbetween card choices to manipulate the cards you obtain on your next hand.
- Mystics affect Shrine of Chance: they will not guarantee a category but will raise the chances.
- Cannot give Rare Talent Cards.
- CAN give Advanced Talent Cards.
- Mystics affects mantra rarity (i.e., stars).
- If a category is comprised entirely of Rare Talent Cards, it will not appear as an option. (EX: Frozen Warrior)
Dialogue[]
Each family of Talents has a prompt for it. Note that you can only get prompts for Talent families that you are eligible to get a Talent card from and you may not get all the cards from a family. Note that Rare Talents are NOT affected by Mystics at all, even if you use Shrine of Chance.
Next to the Talent category's name, it will list a number. This number is the amount of non-rare Talents within that Talent category that you meet the requirements for. For example: if you have 25 Agility, "Alley Cat (1)" will be listed, as you only meet the requirements for Scaredy Cat.

Some Talents will not appear as there will be no Mystic choices for them in-game. Those Talents can only be obtained through luck or scarcity of other cards.

- Mystics used to have unique dialogue for most Talent trees in the game, but due to this system overall being quite confusing and requiring a third party website most of the time, these were removed and were replaced with simply the Talent category's name.

Note fee, the Mystic will state: "No money, friend? How ever will I feed myself?" - When you are at a campfire, hovering over classes in your Talent list in-game shows you the Mystic prompt for it.
- Mystics are almost exclusively Chrysid. Seemingly due to their connection with spirituality and religion, however there is one non-Chrysid mystic, being the one in Saramaed Hollow who is a Vesperian. Strangely, this Mystic still has the Chrysid antennae.
