Description[]
Located in Etris near a bridge when going towards Nerin and the Barber, Nanji is an Etrean NPC who is looking for her brother Ilji. Choosing the correct dialogue responses will begin the Chipped Sword sidequest.
Though it is unadvisable, you can accept the quest first before going through the trouble of getting to the Isle of Vigils for the Chipped Sword, and back to Etris. It is generally recommended that first you go to Vigils for the sword, then back to Etris, saving the round trip.

Completing her sidequest will reward you with EXP, positive Etris reputation, and Compassion.
- Go to the Isle of Vigils.
- Find the Well Preserved Grave near the attunement training gear shop.
- Use the zipline left of the grave.
- Once on the other side of the zipline, head towards the tree and turn right after passing the cliff corner.
- Interact and inspect the Katana until it only gives you the option to end dialogue.
- Return to Nanji and interact with her.
