Overview[]

Ores are materials found all around the map, usually in caves. They are used for crafting various Outfits and traded for chests. They can be harvested with a pickaxe by pressing E on them. They're also dropped from Mineskippers.

Harvesting any ore (except for Rock and Coal) has a chance to drop a "Pure" version of the ore. Pure ores can be traded with a Blacksmith to obtain a chest, or can be crafted into 3 of the ore's base form (by hand). They also sell at 3x the amount of the base ore. Trading in 5 Pure ores will grant the Excavator Talent, which increases mining speed and grants an additional chance of obtaining 2 ores from mining a deposit.

Additionally, ores are used in a quest given by Adar to unlock Ironsing. Ironsing users are able to consume ores to train Ironsing.

Rock[]

A grayish-blue or sandstone ore used in crafting Flint and certain Outfits, found in any cave.

Old Models

Coal[]

Iron[]

Pure Iron cannot be traded to a Blacksmith.

Gold[]

A glimmering, yellow ore used for crafting certain Outfits. Found in the Songseeker Wilds caves, the cave in Miner's Landing where you can obtain Oath: Oathless, and one of the many Viper's Jaw caves near the Bandit Camp at Lower Erisia. If eaten by a Ironsing user, they will get a slight DMG buff and yellow particle effect. It may also be obtained by "melting" Gold Bars or Gold Rings via depositing them into the crafting menu at a Campfire.

Old Models

Erisore[]

A glowing, blue ore used for crafting certain Outfits. Found in Upper Erisia near the open entrance of The Hidden Village, the inside of Tomb of the Nameless Warrior, and at The Entropy Catalyst. Erisore can also be dropped by Mechalodaunts at Miner's Landing. Can be consumed by Ironsing users, provides a blue particle effect but no buffs.

Irithine[]

A vibrant green ore used for crafting certain Outfits. Found in The Garden Reservoir under the Burning Stone Gardens, and in Saramaed Summit within Miner's Landing. Additionally, it can also be found within The Depths, close to the entrance of The Chariot's Spire. It can be consumed by Ironsing users, providing them a green particle effect: Though currently, this does nothing else.

Old Models

Astruline[]

A pink ore that comes from meteor deposits. Found in Songseeker Caves, under Starswept Valley, inside The City of the Drowned in certain locations (pink roofs near the gates behind the houses to the left or to the right depending on where you come from) or from the Moon Knight. The drop rate for Pure Astruline is around 15%.

Old Models

Umbrite[]

A dark blue neon ore found in the First Layer of The Depths. Located in the Varicosa District in City of the Drowned, inside the cave where Nostor, the Shadowcast trainer, is seen. Two separate veins of Umbrite can also be seen near Castle Light, at a low edge next to the void. With the first vein being exactly near the surface, and the second a bit under. It can also be dropped from Immortal Guardians and Mineskippers.

Trivia[]

  • The Looter Talent from the Experienced Adventurer Outfit increases the rewards from turning in Pure ore at a Blacksmith.
  • Rocks can be thrown at people. This does no damage to the victim, this is more just for fun. However, it does put the victim in combat.
    • This is very possibly a reference to a Rogue Lineage item "Pebble" which is used to set people in combat preventing them leave the game before attacking.
  • Normal and Pure ores have the same appearance when held in hand.
  • Every ore can be eaten with the Termite Talent.
  • Mining ores mainly gives Strength EXP but is one of the harder ways to do so.
  • Mining ores also gives decent Intelligence EXP.
  • The old gold, coal, and iron models can be seen at The Floating Keep
