Description

The remains of a Parasol that have been relentlessly butchered in the name of fashion. Believed to migrate between the regions of the Voidsea, the sight of a Parasol is more than enough to make many lose their lunch. It's thought that they act as a form of cross-pollinator for various creatures that make their way from the Depths to Lumen, exchanging the traits and properties between them and dismantling ecosystems by injecting them into a competing niche.

Description[]

The Parasol Planter is a Unique Equipment Item found under the "Head" category. This Hat can be found in chests from the Interluminary Parasol at a common-uncommon drop rate.

Grants the user the Grotesque Resilience Unique Equipment Talent, which reduces damage taken from "Damage Over Time" effects.

Grotesque Resilience works on:
- Burn - 50% damage reduction, Bleed - 25% damage reduction
  - If you are using Flame Within, the DoT damage reduction is reduced to 25%.
Notably, it does not work on all Damage over Time effects.
- It does not work on: Damaging Corrupt Resonance Downside, Deep Widow Poison, Viscosity, Deferred, Reveal, or Rush Hour.

While beat out in terms of raw statistical values for most helmets, such as for pure resistance stats or flat hp, the innate talent is incredible for Bleed and Burn damage reduction, which other helms simply cannot match.
The 25% DoT resistance is great for Flame Within, which gives you a damage and speed bonus in exchange for being set on fire.
The Talent, Grotesque Resilience, does not impact any "Over Time" effects except for ones that specifically drain health. This means that effects like Wither and Ether Drain are unaffected.
