Dialogue[]
Begin | |||||||
Ah, another transient?
What are you doing here? | How do I get strong like you?
Name's Polis. I'm a Justicar from the Frozen Coast. | You'll want to grab some gear. An intelligent mind needs a book, a swordsman needs an instruction manual, a strong man needs weights. I'm sure this town will find you well equipped with any of these items. Just make sure you don't spend all day using this gear, you should only need to use them once and then begin doing as you wish.
Justicar? Frozen Coast? Are you speaking common? | Okay I get that, but how do I actually gain strength?
You're obviously not very well travelled... I am walking the Path as I see fit. Each Justicar interprets the Path in his own way and lives his life by it. As for the Coast... That place can sink beneath the waves for all I care. | Oh, I see it within you. That fire like Amorus... If you sail straight out from the dock it'll take you towards Erisia. You can find many riches on that island, but be careful. A horrible secret lies deep within that place and even more horrible creatures surrounding it. Gain strength, maybe you'll be the one to find out the meaning behind this conflict.
What is the Path? | End | ||||||
It is the code that all of us Justicars live by. We are all taught to interpret the path in our own ways. Some may interpret the path to help others, some may use it to exact righteous violence upon people. I can only hope that the path I have chosen to follow is right.
What happens if you pick incorrectly?
Then may Alsin have mercy on me. Most of the locals see me as a bad omen so they don't speak with me.. I appreciate you listening to my story.
End (He gives you a gold ring) |
Begin | |||||||||||
Ah, if it isn't the hero of Etrea. How goes your wary travels?
What are you doing here? | How do I get strong like you?

Begin | |||||||||||
Hm. Back again? You're more persistent than I gave you credit for.
Is there anything you can teach me? | What are you doing here? | How do I get as strong as you?
[Requirements Met] | [Requirements Unmet] | [See first instance]
Hm... Perhaps you have the aptitude for Jus Karita after all... | Hm... I don't think you're ready for Jus Karita quite yet...
What is Jus Karita? | End | ||||||||||
A Path that one may walk in combat. Refined by the Justicar before me, we use it to stand our ground without need of a blade. You seem to have the aptitude required it. Interested?
Yes. | |||||||||||
I've only started you on your jouruney. It's up to you to take the next steps in your Path.

Begin | |||||||||||
How strange that our Paths should cross again so soon...

Trivia[]
- Killing him will give the player negative reputation with Etrea. (Despite Polis saying that he was not liked by the etreans.)
- During the event there's a bug where his face mask changes to a different pattern than the one he has while he is static.
- Though Polis can be killed, doing so will not affect him, as he will respawn back in his usual spot and act like nothing happened.
- The price of the Gold Ring he gave used to be 25 notes. Now it sells for 14 notes, however the price may vary due to quality stars.
- Whenever you try to spook him with a Hallowtide Mask, he doesn't get spooked and instead just says from these lines: "I may be old, but I'm still brave, young one." "Nice try."
- When having Jus Karita as a starting weapon Polis will say "How strange that our Paths should cross again so soon..." and does not give you a Gold Ring or any other dialogue.
- Despite teaching Jus Karita and donning a Justicar Armour, he favours a Greatsword in combat instead.
- Polis does use Jus Karita mantras, despite wielding a Greatsword.
- His name historically means "Greek city state."
- Polis has an actual obtainable build if you utilize Shrine of Order, with all of his Talents (except Audacity) and all Mantras being obtainable.
