Description[]
The Purple Cloud is a Boss drop Medium Weapon, obtained after defeating Maestro Evengarde Rest (guaranteed on first win, low chance afterward). It's part of a trio of weapons from the Maestro's arsenal, its counterparts being the Pale Briar (HVY) and Cerulean Thread (LHT). The Purple Cloud mainly utilizes your fists and legs to attack, with the blade itself only being employed during its critical where you perform a single, powerful strike. Effectively, it combines the move sets of swords with those of Fists.
Akin to the Shattered and Alloyed Katanas, the Paired Soul Outfit Talent increases its damage by 5%.
Critical[]
The user leans down and grabs the blade's handle before dashing forwards, teleporting behind the first enemy hit, dealing 1.2x scaled damage and high posture damage with the blade. This critical innately applies Bleed damage.
The critical has a cooldown of 7 seconds.
This critical has the M1 tag, allowing it to proc M1-exclusive Talents and Enchantment effects.

- Meeting the requirement of MED, the weapon deals 26 damage.
- At max MED, the weapon deals 27.6 damage.
- Despite being considered a katana, the Poser's Ring doesn't work with it.
- This is because the Purple Cloud is sheathed most of the time, and when it is unsheathed for the critical, the blade is put right back in its place, so it would just deal delayed critical damage
- The other weapons that possess scabbards are the Katana, Shattered Katana, and the Bloodfouler
- Despite being a pseudo fist-type weapon, it does not proc/activate Talents related to fists.
- Its critical attack is based on the martial art "Iaido."
- This involves quickly drawing and sheathing the sword in order to attack or defend.
- Despite this weapon looking as if it is a light weapon (using your fists and legs instead of the blade), it keeps the stats of a medium with the average damage, attack speed and slightly below average range as what you would expect from a medium weapon.
- It can only be used one-handed.
- Visionshaper clones wield the weapon unsheathed.
