Regalia are passive abilities that positively affect progression or aid the player in some way. The only way to obtain them is random chance upon character creation, Most regalia are kept on the new character if the previous character with Regalia was wiped below Power 8. (see below for which regalia is always lost upon wipe)
Obtainment[]
- Regalia can be randomly obtained every time you create a character.
- Your odds of obtaining a Regalia increase the more progressed your previous character was (no specifics on how much it boosts it).
- You may only have 1 Regalia per character, and your character acquiring a Regalia is not guaranteed.[1][2]
List of Regalia[]
Mute[]
Mute (also known as “Animal King”) has the ability to make monsters unable to see you, meaning they won't attack unless you attack them first. This includes Primadon and the Dread Serpent. Monsters get an AI similar to to Town Guards when aggroed; they will unaggro the player if you don't attack them for over 15 seconds. Most humanoid enemies will not still aggro to the player on sight.
This Regalia is kept upon wiping at or below Power 10.
Exceptions[]
- Mute does not work in some locations.
- The Diluvian Mechanism, (Mute does not work on initial aggro. Waiting 15 seconds will unaggro most monsters in Dilluvian.)
- Most Dungeons, such as the Second Layer or Trial of One
- Mute does not work against some monsters (mostly constructs and robots).
- Mute does work against some humanoids.
- Hollow Angels (if not summoned by a Watcher)
- Mute will still make the following passive, but when provoked they will not unaggro after 15 seconds:
Two-Faced[]
Unlocks a special dialogue with Rook Rethige in the Voidheart that lets you purchase Call of the Deep, Horn of Authority, or Union Pager for 20
. You can only purchase one of these.
Prodigy[]
Increases XP gain and Attribute training speed by 300%.[1]
Inspired[]
Grants increased Resonance progress gain from all paths instead of only one.
Sibex's dialogue changes:
"Ah, interesting. Your Soul is giving off a consistent frequency. It's kinda like you've tuned an instrument. That's more than can be said for most, but still quite a way off."
Worthy[]
Grants unique dialogue with the Legendary Boot. Functionally, this does nothing to progression, abilities, or anything crucial to the game, but it is just a silly piece of dialogue.
"The Legendary Boot waits for the day that one worthy will claim it. Someone worthy with smaller feet."
Ancient Soul[3][]
When creating a character, you start with a hand of Resonance draws.
This cannot be obtained if you have the Tarnished Flaw.
This Regalia is not kept upon wiping at any power level.
Noble[3][]
A flat increase is applied to your reputation with each faction. Additionally, Bandits, Blacksteel Pirates, Bounty Hunters, and other 'factionless' humans will not aggro onto you unless provoked, effectively being a reverse Mute regalia, if you will.
Inheritance[3][]
You start with 1,000 Notes and 50 Knowledge, as well as every item from the Advanced Tools Echo Unlocks, even if you haven't purchased them.
This Regalia is not kept upon wiping at any power level.
Ace of Spades[3][]
You start with 20 Aces.
This Regalia is kept upon wiping at or below Power 10.
Joker[4][]
You are granted an additional Talent choice in each Talent hand.
This Regalia is kept upon wiping at or below Power 6.
Hungerless[4][]
You no longer passively lose hunger or thirst. You lose a lot less hunger and thirst while regenerating blood (3 Bars of blood for 5% of Hunger and Thirst).
Vomiting, the Gluttony Enchantment, and emergency blood regeneration will still cause you to lose hunger and thirst at a normal rate.
Insightful[4][]
Knowledge gain from all sources is increased.
The amount of Knowledge gained with the Insightful Regalia is 1.5x the amount without the Regalia, rounding to the nearest number. For example, something that would reward 1 Knowledge will instead reward 2, but if it would reward 2 Knowledge it would give 3 instead.
This works with the Moonseye Tome, granting 150 knowledge upon first time use and 75 Knowledge on all subsequent uses.
Oscillator[4][]
You are granted an additional Resonance choice when rerolling or obtaining one.
Trivia[]
- For almost the entirety of the game's lifespan, Mute was the only Regalia known to exist, until Arch_Mage told the community about the others and the obtainment method.[1]
- Regalia, as a definition, are the emblems or insignia of royalty, especially the crown, scepter, and other ornaments used at a coronation.
- Mute regalia used to work on Ministry Necromancers, Ministry Scouts And Immortal guardians but it was fixed. Despite being a bug, immortal guardians had unique dialogues upon knocking a player with mute regalia.
