This is a page about a shrine dedicated to Yun’Shul. For the Drowned God, see Yun'Shul.
- “ PLUCK OUT THINE EYES; TEAR OUT THINE THROAT; LAY WASTE TO ALL WHICH IS SACRED; THE MOONSEYE CONVERGES WITH THAT BELOW. ”
Description[]
The Shrine of Yun'Shul, Keeper of Hearts is a shrine found in the Temple of Hearts, locked behind a Resonance Door within the First Layer of The Depths, dedicated to the Drowned God Yun'Shul, Keeper of Hearts. It allows the player to use wishes to grant
The shrine at the Temple of Hearts also acts as the penultimate step of obtaining the Contractor Oath; choosing the "What happened to this place?" dialogue option will enable the dialogue with The Lord Regent offering to join him.
Speaking with Yun'Shul will show another dialogue for getting the Soulbreaker Oath after meeting all requirements, the second to last step.
It's possible to interact with the shrine at range using the Idol of Yun'Shul. This will allow for one wish to be made and consume the item after usage. The item doesn't require a Resonance and will consume your wish if you have it; though, it can still be used without a wish - to get the most mileage out of it, you should be unable to obtain a wish from Yun'Shul's shrine itself by the time you use it.
Wishes[]
The player can interact with Yun'Shul's shrine to obtain a wish. Making a wish requires some criteria:
- You need to have a Resonance, normally needed to get past the Resonance Door. If you attempt to speak to Yun'Shul without a Resonance and you are not a Deepbound (such as glitching in or being carried in by another player) you will be instantly killed and wipe if you do not log fast enough.
- Interacting with the shrine without a wish will not kill you assuming you meet these criteria.
- Have a wish available (sometime referred to as Yun'Shul wish CD).
- A wish can be obtained by levelling up 3 times, via the use of the Idol of Yun'Shul, or by seeking clarity at Misérables for 15 Knowledge.
- Misérables in particular enables you to stack wishes. Its Clarity transaction will cost 5 more Knowledge for each wish you already have.
- Wishes are occasionally granted on updates, usually when theres a major changes involving Resonance.
- A wish can be obtained by levelling up 3 times, via the use of the Idol of Yun'Shul, or by seeking clarity at Misérables for 15 Knowledge.
- Tarnished prevents you from rerolling your Resonance, as well as debuffing it.
- You can remove it at Yamaketzal for 1,000 Notes, at Carrion, Father of Evolution for 1 Knowledge, or by seeking clarity at Misérables for 15 Knowledge (which also grants a wish.)
If you meet all the criteria, you are able to make one of seven wishes:
- "The trials ahead of me fill me with trepidation, I wish to escape this place."
- Instantly sends the player back to The Overworld.
- This can be used in combat, but escaping this way will start a 5 second kneeling animation before the escape cutscene queues. Being hit in these 5 seconds will cancel the escape, but not consume your wish.
- You can only make this wish once per character.
- The Idol of Yun'Shul also has a once per character limit, but it is separate to the regular Yun'Shul wish.
- Instantly sends the player back to The Overworld.
- "My Flaws weigh me down too much, I wish for relief."
- Rerolls a chosen Flaw for a random one. Has a small chance of replacing it with the Vacant flaw.
- Can be used to get rid of the Tarnished flaw.
- You can only make this wish once per character. You can still, however, use Shrines.
- Essentially useless, due to the Shrine of Blasphemy which does the exact same thing with less risks (you can't be given the Vacant flaw), and for only 5 Knowledge.
- Rerolls a chosen Flaw for a random one. Has a small chance of replacing it with the Vacant flaw.
- "The Vows I made give me much regret, I wish to break them."
- Erase all your active Vows, including Vow of Mastery, whether it be for the master or the servant, and Vow of Allegiance.
- "The powers I have been granted displease me, I wish for new gifts."
- Erases your current Resonance, and draws 4 new Resonance cards (or 5, if you have a corrupted resonance, the 5th card being the corrupted resonance and the 4th one being the uncorrupted variant). The 4thcard will always be the same resonance you had, albeit rerolled; the variant may also be changed, such as when rerolling physical Sacred Field you will get the mantra version. Gives your Resonance the Tarnished Flaw unless you have Soul Plasticity.
- "For now I am one, but I wish to be three."
- If you meet the requirements, gives you the Soulbreaker Oath.
- "The Vows I made to keep an Oath no longer suit my ideals. I wish for a new path."
- Removes your current Oath. Gives a disclaimer prior to breaking it, warning you that becoming an Oathbreaker has its own consequences. Upon breaking an Oath, you will receive a dialogue from your Oath-giver along with other potential consequences.
- "I wish for my Soul's Murmur to be highly strung no longer."
- Your current Murmur will be removed without any further notice or opportunity for confirmation. This action can be done multiple times but will cost you your Murmur and a wish. You can still regain the same Murmur afterwards (Murmur: Rhythm is currently bugged and you CAN'T get it again after removing it).
- If you wipe after your Murmur is removed, you won't receive the Echoes for having it. You'll need to reobtain a Murmur to complete this Echo Triumph.

Trivia[]
- Originally, only Oathless could be removed, and it had differing dialogue: "The Vow I made to never take up an Oath no longer matches my ambitions. I wish for a new path."
- The maximum amount of Wishes a player can carry at any given time is 197. You can purchase Wishes from Misérables, however the price ramps up, costing 15 Knowledge initially with every stacking Wish costing the previous price + 5 Knowledge (e.g. 15 -> 20 -> 25 -> 30, stacking a mere 4 wishes has cost you a total of 90 Knowledge). Wish 197 costs 995 Knowledge, making 198 Wishes not possible, as it'd require you to go past the Knowledge cap.
- This would require a combined total of ~99,485 Knowledge.
- Yun'Shul is one of three confirmed Drowned Gods so far, along with Korilfiend, the Drowned God of Fire, and Ethiron, the Drowned God of Sky and Pressure.
- There is an Enchantment named after Yun'Shul, the Curse of Yun'Shul.
- Oathbreaking while having equipped an weapon that you dont have requirements of will result on that weapon being unequiped and automatically being swapped by a Sword even if you don't have it on your inventory.
