The City of the Drowned

Lawless Territory of Lost Celtor

The sunken remnants of a lost civilization give little respite to the transitory beings that pass through.

The City of the Drowned (also known as The Drowned City of Celtor) is a location in Deepwoken. It is a landmark of the Celtor Wastes and what remains of the City of Celtor.

Overview

The main city at the center of The Depths housing two main districts, the District of Commerce and Varicosa District. The city also houses a way to leave the depths, with the only other being Yun'Shul, through the elevator in the Cathedral of Interstice at the center.

The City of the Drowned is composed of large circular walls over a city, guarded by Celtor soldiers. There are a couple gates in the walls, guarded by two Celtor guards each.

The city is patrolled by watchers that summon pairs of Hollow Angel when they catch sight of players, as well as having the occasional Depths creature found inside.

NPCs

• Raphael, a mysterious Celtor offering the player the unfinished quest to find "Morning".
• Lucy, a Gremor NPC sprawled on the ground who appears to have a grudge against The Divers. She may be slightly insane as she mentions "voices" talking to her.
• Petris, a middle-aged Etrean in The City of the Drowned, right next to the Merchant Stalls where the static Nautilodaunt spawns. Seemingly killed by The Ferryman after he thought the Krulian would grant him gifts, free of charge. He also hints towards how to summon The Ferryman.
• Jeremiah, an NPC that is located in the Varicosa District, you can trade Deep Gems with him for random items.
• Players can find Nostor, a spelltrainer who can help you acquire Shadowcast, or upgrade your existing Shadowcast Mantras.

Quests

Shadowcast Spelltrainer Quest

• If you are unattuned with Shadowcast, the spelltrainer will give you a quest.
• They will ask you for five Umbral Obsidian, obtain them and give it to them.
• Doing this will result in a potion that will attune you with Shadowcast.
