“ Your heart is of empty will, Knife. A soul as vast as the Voidsea itself, yet unchanging in tide. Why are you here? ”

Description[]

The Knives of Eylis, also known as the Silver Whalers, are an organization of ruthless mercenaries. They serve Eylis, the Punished Dreamer. They are hired by The Central Authority to cause carnage in the Eastern Luminant, raiding Etrean naval vessels. Their base is found in the Voidheart, a mysterious location said to exist within the Voidsea. They are also said to live in the sewers in the Central Luminant. They are currently one of the three factions that can be joined by the player as a guild, the other two being The Divers and The Ignition Union. The guild colour/colour of the flags of members of the guild is orange.

The Voidwalker Origin is associated with this faction. It grants the player two exclusive Voidwalker items upon spawn, the Voideye and the Grasp of Eylis.

The Voidheart itself doesn't actually exist, it's actually a collective dream that the Knives of Eylis have while sleeping at night. The Voidheart heavily resembles the Trial of One but there's no information in-game that talks about this. It's speculated that the "deal" that the Voidmother and Eylis made granted the players the ability to travel to their bounties using the Grasp of Eylis and the Voideye.

Reputation[]

Every Origin excluding Voidwalker starts with an enemy reputation with the Knives of Eylis. If you are a Voidwalker, you start with a friend reputation.

There is no reputation reset NPC for the Knives of Eylis. Despite this, they still have a Bounty Board, located in the Voidheart. This Bounty Board includes bounties from all other factions with Bounty Boards, which include Etrea, The Hive, The Ignition Union, Summer Company, The Central Authority, and The Knives of Eylis. The default negative reputation with the Knives that every non-Voidwalker player has makes players susceptible to being hunted.

Voidwalkers can be hunted by other Voidwalkers at power 5 due to their starting negative reputation with The Hive and The Kingdom of Etrea, both of which are factions with Bounty Boards.

If you are a Voidwalker, you may gain reputation by completing Knives of Eylis bounties on the Voidheart Bounty Board.

If you are not a Voidwalker, there is only one event in which you may help the Knives of Eylis and gain reputation:

There is no dialogue that changes depending on the reputation with the Knives of Eylis. If you gain negative reputation with the Knives as a Voidwalker, you may lose access to certain amenities in the Voidheart, such as the Antiquarian or Banker.

You do not need positive reputation to obtain the Voidwalker Origin.
