Description[]
Traan Zakshun is an NPC merchant who sells various outfit schematics and weapons labelled as "Traan's Salvaged Stock". He wields an Iron Twinblade on their back and wears the Carefree Garments outfit. Traan also wears a hat made out of kelp on his head, which he claims is for later consumption.
Traan got into the business by working alongside his grandmother, Naan Zakshun, during the Etrean Civil War. During this time, he learned to create kelp hats and gave one to her to wear. He also has a love of ongos that dates back to his youth.[1]
Traan Zakshun's shop runs on an hourly rotation. Every hour, he sell two to four items chosen at random from a list. He can sell the same item multiple times, on the same rotation, and across multiple rotations. Most of their shop consists of uncommon weapons and schematics that are geared towards mid-game.
Once every 20 hours Traan Zakshun will appear hosting a Black Market Cache for rare items such as Relics and Legendary Weapons. These items are only sold for Crowns 
and only one item total can be purchased per black market visit.

Depending on the rotation, he can sell 1 to 4 items at once. Typically, he sells 3 to 4 items each visit.
Traan's item descriptions will change randomly each time he sells goods from his Salvaged Stock:

Black Market[]
Once every 20 hours, instead of a regular item rotation, Traan Zakshun will sell goods from their black market stock. For reference to calculate when the black market is available, every five days, the black market will be available at both 00:00 UTC and at 20:00 UTC on the same day. These items are a variety of Relics and Legendary Weapons, sold exclusively for Crowns. Only one item total can be purchased per visit. Like any normal shop rotation, the black market will only last one hour. Prices appear to fluctuate depending on the day. The Gilded Needle for example has been seen at both ten Crowns and five Crowns. Listed prices are what appears most frequently.

Trivia[]
- Traan Zakshun's name is a play on the word "transaction." This is only further reinstated by them being a merchant.
- Traan's name was originally "Trahne Zakshun", however it was changed in the June 30th, 2025 update, as too many people were pronouncing it as "train saction" and not "transaction".
- Traan Zakshun's hair is green.
- Traan's shop dialogues contain references to other media:
- "A strange blue turnip salesman once told me that deep forests, like the ones in Upper Erisia, bring in good coin. Gotta say, he's right." is a reference to the turnip salesman from Rogue Lineage.
- "...What's an 'angel statue'? Look, I think you're confusing me for someone else here, buddy." is a reference to a running joke in Terraria that involves several merchant NPCs referencing the Angel Statue item.
- "You want it? It's yours, my friend! As long as you have enough crowns." is a reference to Morshu from Link: The Faces of Evil.
- "Colour makes us hungry - everything's connected!" is a reference to Redesign your Logo by Lemon Demon.
- As stated by Traan themselves and Nuttoons, the developer who made the character, Traan mugs freshies and bandits around Erisia for the wares that they sell in his regular shop rotation.[2] This draws similarity to the Loot Bag Gacha NPCs, although unlike Traan, the loot bag gacha NPCs collect their goods off of corpses rather than getting their hands dirty themselves.
