“ The contract is sealed, enlisting you into an otherworldly mercenary group, the Knives of Eylis. Despite the brutal training, it seems Eylis herself has a plan in mind for you. ”

If you're looking on how to get rid of Voidwalkers - visit the Bounty Hunting page instead.

Voidwalker is a PvP-focused origin, greatly favoring, but not mandating Bounty Hunting for experience gain.

Obtainment[]

To obtain the Voidwalker origin, the player must do the following:

  1. Have 5 player grips on a single character (Kills from the Chime of Conflict only count as 0.5 of a grip, which equates to 10 chime wins).
  2. Talk to Eiris on the Knives of Eylis vs Etrea sea event
  3. Enter a Subtle Knife of Eylis' Time-Slowing Orb and teleport to the the Voidheart.
  4. Talk to Eylis, the Punished Dreamer and obtain the origin, after which the player is teleported back to their last location (Similar to the Voideye).

Spawn[]

Voidwalkers spawn anywhere within the Etrean Luminant, with the Whaler Initiate Outfit and 25 Notes2. To teleport into the Voidheart, players must use the "Voideye" tool. In order to exit the Voidheart, the player will have to speak to The Voidmother and choose the dialogue option "I wish to depart."

Effects[]

Successfully completing a bounty grants EXP and a chest with loot. Rarity of the loot and the amount of EXP gained from completing the bounty is dependent on the target's total number of bounty stars. However, if the target kills their Voidwalker, the target will instead receive a chest and EXP, the amount of EXP and the rarity of the loot are instead dependent on the Voidwalker's amount of bounty stars.

Voidwalker contract[]

  • In-game description: You progress much faster from completing bounties, and less from events. Gain access to the Voidheart, and factions have a negative outlook on you.
  • You get increased EXP gain from bounties and decreased EXP gain from everything else.
  • Your starting reputation with The Children of Navae, The Kingdom of Etrea and The Hive will be set to "Enemies", which allows other Voidwalkers to take your bounties until you gain neutral reputation with The Kingdom of Etrea and The Hive.

Voideye[]

  • In-game description: Voidmother's blessing, the method to travel back to the Voidheart.
  • An ability that allows Voidwalkers to access the Voidheart by teleporting them.
  • Upon using the ability the user will start floating in the air with black swirls appearing around them, after a ~7 seconds delay.
  • Has a 5 minutes recharging time, automatically resets after successfully completing a bounty.

Grasp of Eylis[]

  • In-game description: You can temporarily teleport to locations near your bounty target, if one can be found. However, you must stay close, or be desynchronized.
  • An ability that allows Voidwalkers to teleport near their bounties. If you go too far away from your target you will have a prompt appear on the upper side of your screen, signifying that you're about to lose your target and get teleported back to the Voidheart.
  • Upon using this ability a menu will appear, allowing you to choose your target. After choosing your target you will be given two choices of how you want to hunt: Ferocity and Stealth.
    • Upon choosing the Ferocity option you will be teleported near your bounty, while their silhouette will be highlighted with red through walls every ~30 seconds. However, when teleporting a sound effect will play, and you will have a very obvious black whirling visual effect coming out from your body.
    • Upon choosing the Stealth option you will be teleported near your bounty. You will not have anything identifying you as a Voidwalker, however you are not granted a vision of your target. Although, you can guess where the bounty is located just from the general location of it and if you guess wrong, you will have a prompt appear on your upper side of the screen signifying that your prey is about to escape, so you can try and change directions to catch up with them.

Pros and Cons[]

Pros[]

  • This Origin is very PvP centered. If you like this kind of content, this Origin will appeal to you.
  • The Voideye can act similar to a guild base, being a location to stock up on necessities or sell items at the antiquarian. Additionally, unlike the Chime of Dwelling, the Voideye can be accessed from anywhere.
  • As long as you complete your bounty, you can use the bounty teleport as a way to "fast travel" around the map, skipping the time spent travelling. However, because you must find a bounty that's around your level, this may not always be a choice for you.
  • You start with Whaler Initiate, which has decent stats for a starter armor.
  • The Voideye is a very good place to find ganks. (hitting someone or getting hit now creates a rift and teleports you to wherever you set your Voideye most recently)

Cons[]

  • This Origin is very PvP centered. If you do not like this kind of content, this Origin will not appeal to you.
  • To further push the above point, experience gained from non-bounty sources is reduced.
  • You have Enemy starting reputation with almost half of all factions in the game.

Your starting faction reputation is:

Trivia[]

  • Both Voidwalker and Deepbound were suggested by user MrTheBest2, who was later made a tester for a period of time (On October ~13, 2025 MrTheBest2 regained tester).[1]
  • Having the Two-Faced Regalia allows you to purchase the other Origin's exclusive tools from Rook Rethige for 20 KnowledgeSprite. These include: Deepbound's Call of the Deep, Authority Ensign's Horn of Authority, and Ignition Delver's Union Pager.
    • After purchasing one of the tools, the shop will no longer be accessible to you, removing your ability to get another.
  • Initially, the Grasp of Eylis tool only had the option to hunt with Ferocity. This naturally made bounties unreasonably difficult and annoying, as the large particle effects that gave your intentions away immediately allowed people an abundant amount of time to log out before you could fight them. Fortunately, (or unfortunately depending on who you are) this was redone to add the Stealth option, allowing you to trade the initial sight of your bounty for the ability to attack and leave the target unaware until they were already fighting you.
