A personal use lantern one can lug around to combat the parasites of the Eternal Gale at a cost of some movement speed. This item provides the Wormwarder Talent, which makes you completely immune to parasites in the Second Layer at the cost of movement speed.
To craft this item, you can obtain the recipe from interacting with a Lantern in the Second Layer, and then crafting the item with 2 Galewax, 4 Irithine, and 4 Spark Glands. Because you cannot bring Galewax out of the Second Layer, you have to use Master Craftsman or the crafting table at The Frontier Furnace.

- You are unable to have Galewax outside of the Second Layer, meaning you must craft this item within the Second Layer, the Talent Master Craftsman or the recently added crafting station inside the Union's base will do.
- This Equipment piece is somewhat redundant due to the existence of the Grand Fisher Helm, which not only gives the same effect without a downside, but is also obtainable without even stepping foot into the Gale and is far easier to get.
- Due to the movement speed debuff from using this item, it is only useful for long expeditions within the Eternal Gale.
- The Wormward Lantern does not actually clear parasites, it only disables their ability to continue growing- meaning you will keep any parasites you had before equipping it.
- You cannot store this item in a safe deposit box, or drop it.
