Description[]
The Wyrmtooth is a sword that drops from bosses and endgame events like the Dread Serpent or The Diluvian Mechanism. It has a base damage of 20 with 20% PEN, requiring 60 MED, 40 HVY and Power 15 to equip. Despite being a hybrid weapon, it is only compatible with Medium Weapon and Greatsword Talents, not any general heavy weapon talents.
With attribute scaling in mind (excluding Proficiency), the Wyrmtooth deals 28.1 damage at base and 35.6 damage when both MED and HVY are at 100.
While its damage is arguably mediocre (considering its requirements), the Wyrmtooth boasts a massive 9 range and an above average weight of 7; it can reliably outrange the majority of melee weapons and, paired with its decently high swing speed, allows you to maintain pressure on your opponents while remaining relatively safe.
Critical[]
For the standing critical, the user thrusts their weapon forwards, dealing damage and ragdolling enemies.
For the sliding critical, the user sweep their weapon in a circular motion, dealing area damage. The user can respond with a follow-up M1 while casting (and successfully landing) the sliding critical that will cause the user to perform the standard critical immediately afterwards. Do note that enemies will recover in time to parry the follow-up crit.
The cooldown for the critical is 10 seconds.

Trivia[]
- At Proficiency 6, it deals 31.3 damage at base and 41.7 damage when both MED and HVY are maxed.
- In an update on January 11th, 2025, the Wyrmtooth was given the ability to utilize Greatsword talents, but not general heavy weapon talents. Realistically, this means that it only benefits from the "Destructive Recovery" Talent.
- In an update on 13th April, 2025, the Wyrmtooth was purported to have had its PEN increased to 25% but this was never applied ingame.
- The Wyrmtooth is not classed as a katana, so Paired Soul doesn't apply to it.
- Akin to the Railblade, it can only be wielded with one hand.
- Both weapons share the same light attack animations.
- Both its criticals formerly lacked the universal windup VFX. Its sliding critical also lacked a sound cue.
- It once had 10 range and 6 weight, with a 6s cooldown for its critical attacks.
- This amount of range meant the Wyrmtooth was once rivalled only by the Hivelord's Hubris and the Pale Briar. It even matched the ranges of some pistols, but was otherwise eclipsed by them.
- Its modeller, TheRealPunchee, stated that it was inspired by the Nagakiba from Elden Ring. Nagakiba loosely translates to 'long fang', similar to the name Wyrmtooth.
- The standing critical is inspired from the Piercing Fang Ash Of War in Elden Ring that is obtainable from the Nagakiba.
